I purchased two of these. The tan one came in a bag, folded and once taken out of the bag it was easily steamed wrinkle free. The blue one had been folded, placed in a bag and then shrink wrapped!?!? It took a ridiculous amount of time to remove deep wrinkles set in due to the shrink wrap. Why would anyone think that this is a good idea. Back to Paul Jones.

I got this shirt in wine red for my husband. The red color is deep and looks great. This shirt is made like a polo shirt but the full button-down front and sweater-knit fabric make it dressier than the typical polo shirt. He has worn it several times so far, with jeans and dressy leather sneakers to a couple of casual get-togethers, and he really likes it for casual days at work. He wears it with a pair of either navy, black or gray suit pants and dress shoes, but without the jacket and tie. It looks really sharp but is more casual and comfortable than a full suit with a starched white dress shirt and tie. The fabric is sweatery but fine-gauge, not thick and bulky. It is thin enough to be tucked in, if you like, or of course the shirt can be worn untucked. The fabric is 80% rayon which is a natural fiber that provides softness and drape, while the 20% polyester gives the fabric some body and makes it more durable. It does have a sort of retro look and feel which we both like. The solid color keeps the retro-ness somewhat in check; the shirt does have a retro vibe but overall is somewhat conservative rather than kitschy.I got him his usual XL size and it fits; he is tall with a medium/thin build, but in his early 60s with a basic “dad bod” so doesn’t want clothes that fit tightly. So far I’ve washed the shirt a couple of times, both times in cold water and dried it flat. It needed a little touch-up ironing but nothing major. Air drying prevented it from shrinking; I don’t like to tumble dry rayon because it my experience that shrinks it.Overall a great looking shirt, something a little different and more fashionable for my husband who dresses fairly conservatively.
